Work Experience and Volunteering

Work Experience and Volunteering

Work Experience

We have broad range of options available for students in the Goldfields wishing to undertake Work Experience at the City. The Work Experience Program aims to give Year 10’s, 11’s, 12’s and University students the opportunity to gain insight and practical experience into everyday work and the expectation when they enter the workforce. It is also a fantastic opportunity to find out about the City, explore your interests and career aspirations.

Register Your Interest For Work Experience

  1. Research the different areas and opportunities that Local Government has to offer and what may be appealing to you and your career aspirations. Alternatively, contact the People and Culture team by emailing us, we are happy to assist.
  2. Prepare a brief cover letter (outlining the area or business unit you are interested in, including the dates and time you are available for work experience) and attach a brief resume.
  3. Send your cover letter and resume to our People and Culture team.

Volunteering

Volunteering is integral to our operations and makes an invaluable contribution to our organisation and the community that we serve.

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is dedicated in delivering the best possible services to our local community. Volunteering could be your way of giving back and helping to make a difference (big or small) to the community.
By volunteering your time you will get the opportunity to work with a group of diverse people, gain work experience and even learn new valuable skills.
