Details:  Mathias Duplessy is a French Composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist who throughout his voyages to the Far East and beyond, has been graced with fortuitous encounters with some of the worlds most accomplished musicians – the Violins of the World.  Mathias Duplessy’s passion for undiscovered musical terrains has led him to Kalgoorlie-Boulder, where in partnership with the Brownley Gospel Singers, will give birth to a new musical adventure.  A pure gold performance – pliable though mixed with undiscovered sounds of cross cultural fusions of traditional folk songs and original pieces as well as various classics arranged by Mathias Duplessy.

This is the first and only Australian performance by Mathias Duplessy and the Violins of the World.  Invited by Tjuma Pulka Original Nations Media Corporation, Mathias will perform under desert skies on a unique geographical feature prevalent in the Goldfields - a sale encrusted lake with soft red sand hills framing its boundary.

As part of the 125th Celebration of Paddy Hannan, Thomas Flanagan and Daniel Shea finding gold at the base of Mt Charlotte, Sounds on the Salt Lake opens with an acknowledgement of Country as told by storyteller Josie Boyle.
