The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is offering first home buyers, people wanting to build their dream home, or potential investors an exciting opportunity to purchase residential land in Phoenix Place, South Kalgoorlie.
The land, which is currently owned by the City, will be auctioned on site on Saturday, 18 November.
City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder CEO John Walker said the land was ripe for development, and the City was helping to facilitate home and land packages through local builders.
“This is a really exciting opportunity for people who want to get in to the housing market, either as first home buyers or investors,” he said.
“We have 12 vacant residential lots, which have all been developed and are ready to build on, with sewer, water and power connections in place.
“The City has partnered with The Professionals Kalgoorlie, Westralia Homes and the National Australia Bank to hold an information day for potential buyers before the auction so they can look at their options and investigate finance and building opportunities.
“The Phoenix Place Open Day is a one stop shop where people can choose a lot, select a house plan and even look at finishes like bricks, floor coverings and roofing, then get pre approval for finance prior to the auction, so on auction day they can bid with confidence.
“The City is committed to making the residential land we own available to the community at a very affordable price. At the end of the day, we want people to live in our City and feel connected to the community, and one of the best ways to do this is as a home owner.”
The Phoenix Place Development Open Day will be held at the Hannans Club on Saturday, 9 September from 1pm until 3pm. Lot plans, building concepts with pricing, and finance and mortgage advice will all be available for potential buyers.
