Nominations Open for Youth Council Elections

17-10 Nominations Open for Youth Council Elections The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is calling for nominations for its Youth Council. All young people between the ages of 12 and 25 years are encouraged to get involved.

Youth Councillors have the opportunity to represent their peers and provide input into the decision-making processes of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Council and other agencies who work with youth.

Youth and Recreation Officer, James Pervan said the Youth Council is a fantastic opportunity for local young people to be heard.

“If you’d like to meet like-minded people, develop leadership skills and make a difference to the community, we’d love to hear from you”, he said.

“The Youth Council is a voice for young people in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, and helps engage with youth to facilitate programs and activities to help raise the profile of young people in the City.”

Youth Council Elections are taking place on Tuesday, 31 October 2017 at the Kalgoorlie Town Hall from 5.15pm – 6.30pm.

Youth Council Nominations can be made at the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Customer Service Centre – Market Arcade or Administration Building, by phoning 9021 9600 or following the link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/jointheKBYC.
