Proposed Closure of Carmelia Road

17-09 Proposed Closure of Carmelia Road It is hereby notified that in accordance with Section 58 of the Land Administration Act 1997, the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder has received an application to permanently close an approximately 1.3km section of Carmelia Road, which is located approximately 60km north-west of the City and is accessed via Yarri Road.

The proposed road closure is being sought by NBT Metals to allow for open cut mining operations in the area.

The portion of Carmelia Road proposed to be closed is currently a “bush track” with minimal traffic movements. The portion is the eastern end of Carmelia Road and does not provide any connections to other public roads.

Any person wishing to comment on the proposed closure may do so in writing addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, PO Box 2042, Boulder WA 6432, within thirty-five (35) days of the publication of this notice.
A plan of the proposal may be viewed at the office of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder at 577 Hannan Street, Kalgoorlie, during the hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm, weekdays.
