The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder proposes to make the Activities on Thoroughfares and Trading in Thoroughfares and Public Places Amendment Local Law 2018.
The purpose of the local law is to amend the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Activities on Thoroughfares and Trading in Thoroughfares and Public Places Local Law (“principal local law”) so as to more effectively regulate certain forms of anti-social behaviour on thoroughfares and public places.
The effect of the local law is to amend the principal local law by:
- inserting additional general prohibitions on activities on thoroughfares and public places under clause 2.1 of the principal local law;
- inserting additional activities allowed with a permit under clause 2.2(1) of the principal local law;
- revising the modified penalties applicable to prescribed offences under Schedule 1 of the principal local law; and
- making consequential amendments.
