At the Ordinary Council Meeting on the 26th
of February 2018 the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Council resolved to amend Policy DS-SWM-002 in relation to Residential Tip Passes.
A review was undertaken to ensure the policy is used fairly and so that it is clear what types of waste can be disposed of under the policy. The policy allows residents to dispose of up to four (4) tonnes of domestic refuse, which is described as waste generated from the day-to-day operation of domestic properties. The amended policy restricts waste categories that are described as commercial, to ensure that the service is not misused and remains free for residents.
These changes take effect from the 6th
of March 2018 and are further detailed on the City’s website
. If you have any queries regarding these changes please contact the City’s Waste Services Department on 9021 9600. JOHN WALKER
