The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder has implemented amendments to the Local Government Property Amendment Local Law 2018. This came into operation on Friday, 18 May 2018.
The purpose of the amendment to the local law was that the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Local Government, by amending the Property Local Law 2010 (“principal local law”) could more effectively regulate certain forms of anti-social behaviour on local government property.
The effect of the proposed local law is to amend the principal local law by:
- insert additional activities that may only be undertaken with a permit on local government property under clause 3.13 of the principal local law;
- amend clause 4.1 so as toprohibit a wider range of anti-social behaviour on local government property;
- revise the modified penalties applicable to prescribed offences under Schedule 1 of the principal local law; and
- make consequential amendments.
