Cycling and walking trails

Cycling in the City

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is well connected by a network of on-road and off-road bicycle paths. Our flat landscape and closely linked grid of streets makes it perfect for cycling.

These paths cater for cyclists of all ages and abilities, from experienced cyclists to families to beginners.

Most of us in Kalgoorlie live within a few kilometres of our workplace, schools and friends, so we have no excuse not to jump on our bikes.

Safe cycling

Obey the road rules
Cyclists should follow the same rules on the road as they would in the car including keeping left and using signals when turning left or right.

Wear a helmet
Helmets substantially reduce head injuries if worn correctly.

Drink more water
In Kalgoorlie’s hot-and-dry climate, it is important to keep your fluids up when doing any exercise, so remember to take a bottle of water with you on the rides.

Walking Trails

Walking trails are available throughout the City. Stop in at the Pure Gold Visitors Centre to find out where you can explore.
