Find out what is available for loan at the William Grundt Memorial Library, how long the loan period is, how to return an item after hours, how to reserve and time, and how to renew an item.

Borrowing items

Adults and children who wish to check out any items must be library members.

Member may borrow up to 15 items at any time, but there are restrictions on certain non-book items.

The maximum number of these items that may be loaned at a time are:

  •  5 DVDs

The loan period is 3 weeks, but items can also be renewed under certain conditions.

Please look after all items borrow. You are responsible for any damage or loss whilst items are issued to you.

Returning items

Please return your loaned items on or before the due date, as other members may be waiting to borrow them.

Return chute

Items may be returned after hours using the return chute located near the front door of the library.

Reserving items

The online catalogue allows members to reserve an item without having to come into the library. You will then be notified when the item is available for you to collect.

If an item is listed as currently available, please allow 24 hours for staff to process and retrieve your request from the shelf.

If you cannot find an item, please ask our friendly library staff for assistance. Items not available in our own stock may be requested through the State Library’s Inter-Library Lending scheme.

Renewing items

Library items checked out by a member can be renewed for another 3-week period, provided they are:

  •  Not overdue
  •  Not reserved for other members.
