Kalgoorlie-Boulder Race Round
The largest social occasion is the annual Kalgoorlie-Boulder Race Round in September. Organised by the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Racing Club, nationally-recognised event is one of the largest provincial horse racing events in Western Australia.
The week-long racing carnival culminates in the Kalgoorlie Cup, with more than $100,000 worth of prize money up for grabs.
A serious must for fans of horse racing and an essential social event for everyone who wants to see and be seen enjoying the fun filled days of country racing at its' best.

Saint Barbara’s Festival
A more recent feature of the annual social calendar is Saint Barbara’s Festival in December, which celebrates the mining industry and culminates with a street parade.
St Barbara was one of the most widely venerated saints of the Middle Ages, and became patron to miners in the Goldfields.
A square in Kalgoorlie's central business district is also named after St Barbara.
