Ordinary Council Meetings
On 28 April 2020, Council endorsed a revised meeting schedule.
For the remainder of the year, or until as otherwise agreed, Ordinary Council Meetings will be held at 7:00pm on the fourth Monday of each month only, except public holidays.
Amendments to the Local Government (Administration) Regulations 1996 became effective on Thursday 26 March 2020. The amendments provide for Local Governments to convene Council and committee meetings with all participants remotely in attendance by instantaneous communications. The amendments also modify the provisions in the Local Government Act 1995 that relate to notice of a meeting and public question time to enable meetings to be held electronically. If a meeting is held electronically, public question time requirements will be met if council allocates time for raising questions by members of the public and provides a means for questions to be submitted prior to the meeting.
Until further notice, all Ordinary Council Meetings will only occur electronically. Members of the public can still participate in Public Access and Public Question Time via the online platform facilitating the electronic meetings, and we ask you to follow the instructions below.
Electronic Ordinary Council Meetings are open to the public, and members of the public can still attend meetings, but only electronically. Please follow the link here to attend the meetings electronically.
*The use of any recording equipment is strictly prohibited by the general public at Council meetings, this applies to any meetings conducted by electronic means also.
