FAQs

How do I enter?
Enter online through the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder website between midday, Monday 2 July to 4pm Friday, 10 August 2018.
Am I eligible to enter?
Artists of all ability are invited to enter, and must be:
  • 12 years and over
  • ​An Australian resident
​Please note, some awards have specific categories which not all artists will be eligible to enter.
How much does it cost?
A non-refundable fee of $30 is required.  A limit of one entry per applicant applies. 
When can I drop my artwork off?
DROP OFF SCHEDULE 

Northern Goldfields:
Menzies: Drop off between 10am and 3pm at Pioneer Store Gallery, 42 Shenton Street on Friday 17 August
Leonora: Drop off between 10am and 3pm at Shire of Leonora Ofices, Lot 16 Tower Street on Friday 17 August
Laverton: Drop off between 10am and 3pm at Shire of Laverton Offices, 9 MacPherson Place on Friday, 17 August

Goldfields-Esperance:

Kalgoorlie-Boulder: Drop off between 10am and 3pm at Goldfields Arts Centre, 35 Cheetham Street on Friday 24 August or Saturday 25 August 8am to 10am
Esperance: Drop off between 10am and 3pm at Cannery Arts Centre, Norseman Road on Friday, 17 August

Wheatbelt / Metro:
Merredin: Drop off between 10am and 3pm at Library, 22 Coronation Street on Monday, 13 August
Perth: Drop off between 2pm and 4pm at Artists Chronicle, 130 South Street, Beaconsfield Monday, 13 August

Can I courier my artwork?
Yes, you must ensure that your artwork is appropriately labelled, that artwork is received at the specific drop off times and that the Events Team has been informed.
You can contact the Events Team on (08) 9021 9600 or mailbag@ckb.wa.gov.au 
How will I know if my artwork is sold?
You will be contacted directly if your artwork as been sold, if you do not hear from the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder assume your artwork will require collection from your chosen pick up location. 
When can I collect my artwork after the exhibition?

Northern Goldfields:

Who can attend the Awards Night?
Attendance at the awards night is by invitation only. Entrants will receive 2 tickets per person to attend the evening. Please note it is a black tie occassion and not suitable for children. Award winners will be encouraged to attend and the Major Acquisitive Prize is only claimable if in attendance at the occassion. 
When is the winner of the People's Choice Award announced?
The winner will be announced on the final weekend of the exhibition, Friday 5 October and will be shared on the City's website and social media channels. The People's Choice Award allows one vote per person and voting can be made whilst visiting the exhibition bewteen 22 September - 4 October.
