The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder has some new friends who will be engaging with residents and visitors to our City online.
Cal and Vivian are the City’s two new customer service avatars, who will be adding a layer of fun and friendliness to the organisation’s social media interactions, and will help out with some of the City’s other campaigns.
City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder CEO John Walker said Cal and Vivian would also provide an opportunity to promote events and activities which didn’t have a place on the City’s traditional social media channels.
“People always have questions for the City on social media, and this is a way for our marketing and customer service teams to engage with them in a live, online space, answer their questions and provide people with information about Kalgoorlie-Boulder in a relaxed manner,” he said.
“We also hear a lot of rumours about what Council may or may not be doing, and Cal and Vivian will help us share the facts, both on their own page and in some of the more active community Facebook groups.
“Cal and Vivian won’t be replacing our formal communications - their role is to provide an added digital layer of customer service to the community, and we are excited to welcome them to the City’s team.”
Residents are encouraged to follow Cal and Vivian on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/calandvivian
