The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, in partnership with Boulder Promotion Development Association and SAFE Goldfields, presents its annual Pets Day Out. The fun filled day will take place at Boulder Markets, Loopline Park from 9am until 1pm on Sunday November 19, 2017.
Pets Day Out is in its seventh year running and is a great day out for the whole family - including the four legged members - with fun pet competitions, stalls, activities and entertainment on offer.
Competitions will include Best Pet Tricks, Best Dressed Pet, Best Pet/Owner Look-alike and Most Unusual or Ugliest Pet. The Pet of the Year competition is back again this year and being run in conjunction with the Kalgoorlie Miner. Competition winners will receive fantastic prizes thanks to Kalgoorlie Feed Barn.
Representatives from the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, SAFE and RSPCA will be there to talk about responsible pet ownership and community members are encouraged to take advantage of discounted one year registration vouchers for cats and dogs.
City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder CEO John Walker said Pets Day Out was not only a great event for the community, but also encouraged responsible pet ownership through the range of activities and displays.
“Pet’s Day Out gives families the opportunity to enjoy a great day out with their pets. It’s well documented that pet ownership has many physical and psychological health benefits, and we want to encourage people to get out and be active with their pets.”
Any local pet businesses who would like to participate in the event should complete the Stall Holder Guideline Form on the Boulder Promotion and Development Association website http://boulder.com.au/market-day/guidelines/
