The 2017 Lighting of the Christmas Tree is just over two weeks away, and it will be a fun night out for kids of the Goldfields!
The event, which will run from 5:30pm until 7:30pm on Sunday 26 November will feature fantastic live performances from groups including Toddler Jam, the Goldfields Brass Band, school choirs and much more!
City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder CEO John Walker said 2017 was the tenth annual Lighting of the Christmas Tree event, and the City’s event team was working hard to make it a memorable event.
“As well as the lighting of the Christmas Tree and fireworks display, there will be a real street carnival atmosphere, with food vans, trapeze swings, bouncy castles and for the first time, Santa and Mrs Claus will be based in our very own Santa’s Grotto,” he said.
“Local restaurants have also come on board and will be offering al fresco dining in Saint Barbara’s Square to complement the other event activities.
“I encourage the whole community to come along and help us make the tenth annual Lighting of the Christmas Tree a momentous occasion for Goldfields families.”
