The annual Seniors Christmas Lunch is sold out, with all 300 free tickets allocated to local seniors.
The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is hosting the event at the Graduates Hall on MacDonald Street from 12noon until 3pm on Wednesday 6 December 2017.
The Seniors Christmas Lunch, which is a free event for those over the age of 60, includes a traditional three course Christmas lunch, light refreshments and lots of local entertainment.
City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder CEO John Walker said the annual event was an event that the seniors community, Elected Members and Staff eagerly anticipated.
“This is always a popular event, but we are restricted to 300 reservations for the lunch, as there aren’t any venues in town that can accommodate groups any bigger than that,” he said.
“For us as a City it is a marvellous opportunity to say thank you to all our senior residents and acknowledge the contributions they have made, and continue to make, to our community.
“It is a wonderful afternoon, with lots of prizes, entertainment and fun for all of the guests, and we are receiving some fantastic sponsorship and prizes from some very generous organisations in our community.”
Seniors interested in attending the luncheon should visit the Goldfields Arts Centre Box Office. As all tickets are allocated, the box office has started a waitlist. The box office is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm or contact them on 9021 0999 or online via www.goldfieldsartscentre.com.au
