Applications for the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s Annual Grant Program will open on Monday 12 February for the 2018/19 financial year.
The Annual Grant Program, which is part of the City’s Community Assistance Scheme, provides one off grants and three year service agreements for not for profit community groups with a focus on community development projects.
CEO John Walker said the Annual Grants Program was aimed at strengthening and enhancing the social wellbeing, development and sustainability of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder community.
“We are looking for local not for profit organisations who want to make a difference to the community, and contribute to the City’s quality of life through the provision of activities, events and services,” he said.
“The program allows community groups and organisations to apply for funding for projects, events or activities that align with the City’s Strategic Plan, for projects that will take place between July 2018 and June 2019.
“I encourage all community groups to check their eligibility for the Annual Grant Program and consider applying for the program. The City is continuing to work hard to make Kalgoorlie-Boulder a place people want to live, work and do business, and having strong and vibrant community and sporting groups is a key element of this.
“We’re looking for new and innovative ideas, especially for community events and activities that are going to help activate our City, rather than propping up organisations and their day to day expenses.”
