The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder will work with police regarding the theft of one of its fleet trucks, which was subsequently involved in the damage of three parked cars on Burt Street this morning.
City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder CEO John Walker said the incident is being fully investigated.
“Whilst we are dismayed at the damage done to vehicles by the stolen truck, the fact that the stolen vehicle and thief were spotted and reported to police by our Safer Streets Patrol shows that this crew is out there proactively working to make our community safer,” Mr Walker said.
“We are working with police to identify how the vehicle was stolen, and will be implementing procedures with our staff to ensure something like this does not happen again.
“The City is fully insured, and we will be working with the owners of the vehicles damaged to ensure they are compensated.”
