Over 55 market stalls will transform the Goldfields Arts Centre into a festive Christmas Market from 9am to 1pm this Saturday, 30 November.
Held inside the Goldfields Arts Centre and on the forecourt, there will be stalls selling handmade home and giftware items, artisan jewellery, locally produced gourmet foods and quirky crafts, as well as food vans and morning tea. and a photography stall to get your family Christmas photo taken.
City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder CEO John Walker said the markets were a great place for people to find a unique and special gift.
“The Christmas market is a great place to find unique local gifts and support our creative community and local micro-businesses this festive season,” he said.
“The market will be offering more than a shopping opportunity with plenty of food and drink on offer from a selection of Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s mobile food vendors, face painting, bouncy castles and entertainment from local musicians.
“Santa will also be visiting the markets from 10am until 11am for families and children to meet and have a photo with him.
“Visitors can also take the time to view the stunning exhibition from the National Portrait Gallery which is currently on display to the public in the Goldfields Arts Centre Gallery.”
Visitors to the markets will also be encouraged to leave a Christmas wish for the Goldfields Arts Centre, by providing feedback on what they would like to see improved and how the Centre can better serve Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s vibrant community.
