Boulder Town Hall is open for bookings. The restoration project has taken seven months to complete following last November’s significant storm that disrupted power to the City and damaged many buildings.
City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder CEO John Walker said “Boulder Town Hall has undergone significant restoration works. Our Engineering team have completed all building works and we are waiting on the main hall floor to be sealed and set before opening doors to visitors.”
“The work undertaken has returned the Boulder Town Hall to the same pristine state when opened 110 years ago on 23 June, preserving the building for many years to come.”
“The undamaged historic Goatcher Curtain will once again be on display, the Heritage Services team will be commencing tours on Tuesday and Thursdays once the main hall floors have had the time to seal.”
Comprising of municipal offices, a council chamber, library, main hall, theatre and eight dressing rooms when built. The building is also undertaking significant works to accommodate a purpose built Goldfields War Museum.
