Funding Finder Launched to Help Businesses and Community

Funding Finder Launched to Help Businesses and Community City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mayor John Bowler will tonight launch Kalgoorlie-Boulder Funding Finder, a dedicated online portal to help businesses and community groups access grants and funding.

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is the first regional City in Western Australia to offer access to Funding Finder, which provides users with direct access to over 839 sources of grants worth $47.6billion dollars.

Mayor Bowler said the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Funding Finder offered users information about grants and funding opportunities in an easy to understand, consistent format.

“This is a one stop shop for grants and funding information for local businesses and community groups,” he said.

“People can log in and put in the type of project they want funding for, and the Funding Finder will bring up all of the relevant funding opportunities for them to look at, and determine whether they are eligible for the grant. They can see if it is suitable for their project, and if the grant can provide them with the amount of funding they need for their project.”

The City’s Economic Development Unit has organised a series of Get Funded grant writing workshops for businesses and community groups in May. The workshops will give attendees the skills they need to write high quality grant applications and apply for funding.

Residents can access the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Funding Finder and register for the Get Funded workshops via the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder website.
