The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is inviting local small businesses to join them for coffee and small business networking and development opportunities.
The new initiative, called Small Business Over Coffee, will run on the first Tuesday of the month hold its first session at Dome Kalgoorlie on Tuesday 2 July, from 9am until 10:30am, and the event will move to different cafes and venues across Kalgoorlie-Boulder each month.
“This is a concept that has been tried and tested by local governments in partnership with the Small Business Development Corporation in Perth and other communities across Western Australia, and we are looking forward to bringing it to the Kalgoorlie-Boulder community,” City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder CEO John Walker said.
“The format is really flexible, and if there is a topic that small businesses would like to know more about, or something that they’ve tried and would like to share with others, they’re welcome to bring it to the table."
“We really want to encourage small, home based and micro businesses to come along and share their experiences, network and learn about ways they can develop their business."
The City of Kalgoorlie Boulder will be working with the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Small Business Development Centre to implement the six month trial program.
