What services does the EGCC provide?
The EGCC provides a variety of services to seniors and frail aged people in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder community through the Seniors Program and Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP).

The EGCC is located at 13 Roberts Street, Kalgoorlie.

Seniors Program

What activities are available under the EGCC Seniors Program?
The EGCC’s Seniors Program Activities include:
  • Dizzy Fingers Craft
  • Gentle Gym Exercises
  • 50+ Exercises
  • Indoor Carpet Bowls
  • OWLS (Older – Wiser – Livelier – Seniors) Group
  • Bingo
How do I become an EGCC Senior Member?
To become an EGCC Senior Member you will need to complete the EGCC’s Seniors Membership Application From.
 
Prospective members are welcome to trial Seniors Activities for a two week period prior to joining as a member and paying the annual membership fee.
How old do I need to be to become an EGCC Senior member?
The EGCC’s Concession Membership is available to those over the age of 55 or in possession of a Seniors Card or Pensioners Concession Card.  
 
Non-concession Membership is available to those under the age of 55 who would like participate in the EGCC Seniors Program.
What is the cost of an EGCC Senior Membeship?
All fees for Seniors Concession and Non-Concession Membership can be found in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Schedule of Fees and Charges which is available on the City’s Website or from the EGCC on request.

Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)

What is the CHSP?
The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) aims to help frail, older people living in the community to maximise their independence.
 
This is achieved through the delivery of high quality, entry level support services that take into account each individual persons goals, preferences and choices, with a strong emphasis on wellness and re-ablement.
What CHSP Services does the EGCC provide?
CHSP Services provided by the EGCC include:
  • Domestic Assistance
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Meal Preparation
  • Personal Care
  • Social Support (Individual)
  • Social Support (Group)
  • Transport
How can I access CHSP Services?
My Aged Care is the entry point to access aged care services.
 
My Aged Care may arrange for a trained assessor to come to your home and with your consent they will assess your care needs and eligibility for services. They will then work with you to develop a support plan which addresses your needs, goals and preferences.

What is the cost of CHSP services?
All fees for CHSP Service can be found in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Schedule of Fees and Charges which is available on the City’s Website or from the EGCC on request.
What payment options are available for my services?
The EGCC offers the following payment options:
  • Cash
  • Eftpos (payments can be made over the phone)
  • Cheque
  • Centrepay Deductions
  • Direct Deposit (account details are located at the bottom of your EGCC invoice)

EGCC Meals

Does the EGCC provide meals?
A Centre Based Meal is available to EGCC Members and CHSP clients from Monday to Friday. Members have a choice of a Soup, Main Meal and Sweet to purchase individually, or as a 2 or 3 course meal to enjoy at the EGCC.
 
EGCC Members are also able to purchase Soup and Main Meals frozen to take home at an additional fee. 
What is the cost of EGCC meals?
Fees for Centre Based Meals for Concession and Non-Concession Members can be found in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Schedule of Fees and Charges which is available on the City’s Website or from the EGCC on request.
What is Meals on Wheels?
The Meals on Wheels service includes the regular delivery of meals to clients in their home. The EGCC prepares and delivers meals from Monday to Friday and frozen meals are available for weekends and public holidays if required.
How can I receive Meals on Wheels?
Meals on Wheels is a CHSP service and requires an assessment from My Aged Care to determine eligibly.
