Club Development

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, in partnership with the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, is committed to the Club Development Program which aims to increase the sustainability of local sport and recreation clubs through coordination of training, education and information workshops and programs.
 
The Club Development Officer is responsible for enhancing community life and viability by building the capacity of local clubs, liaising with sporting groups and enhancing sport and recreation infrastructure. This is achieved through assisting and supporting local sports and recreational group to develop, establish and work effectively within the City.

Managing Conflict & Difficult People Workshop


The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, in partnership with the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, is providing a free workshop for coaches, officials and committee members to develop skills to better manage conflict and difficult people.

This course will investigate strategies to:
  • Identify conflict in its early stages before it erupts into crisis
  • Prevent conflict arising in the first place
  • Use verbal strategies and body language to diffuse conflict
  • Ask the one question that could stop conflict immediately
  • Dealing with conflict on social media.
