Cycling and Walking Trails

Cycling

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is well connected by a network of on-road and off-road bicycle trails. Our flat landscape and closely linked grid of streets makes it perfect for cycling. These paths cater for cyclists of all ages and abilities, from experienced cyclists to families and beginners.

Most of us in Kalgoorlie-Boulder live within a few kilometres of our workplace, schools and friends, so we have no excuse not to jump on our bikes.

Safe Cycling

Obey the road rules: Cyclists should follow the same rules on the road as they would in the car including keeping left and using signals when turning left or right.

Wear a helmet: Helmets substantially reduce head injuries if worn correctly.

Drink more water: In Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s hot and dry climate, it is important to keep your fluids up when doing any exercise, so remember to take a bottle of water with you.

Walking Trails

Walking trails are available throughout the City. To find out where you can explore, drop into the CBD Customer Service Centre (Market Arcade, Hannan Street), or Kalgoorlie-Boulder Visitor Centre (Kalgoorlie Town Hall, Hannan Street), to collect your Cycle and Walkways map. Alternatively, you can download it by clicking on the quick link.
