About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the City’s Development and Growth team. We are looking for fully qualified Planners with at least 5 years’ experience, with a desire to shape and play a key delivery role in a wide variety of statutory planning, strategic planning and economic development initiatives.
The size and scope of the projects you will work on have the potential to be career highlights and increase your professional profile, as you create an enabling environment and strategies to support the delivery $8+ billion in major resources projects within the City’s economic zone and major Council projects to shape that City’s future. You will think beyond one area of expertise and oversee a team of 15.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Tertiary qualifications relevant to urban and regional planning, or a similar discipline with 5+ years’ experience.
- Strong problem-solving, logical reasoning and creative thinking skills to navigate complexity and deliver outcomes within set timeframes.
- Be capable of overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Leadership experience in building and supporting teams and service areas.
- Exceptional communication skills and be able to connect with people at all levels and diverse backgrounds.
