The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s annual Sunset at the Soundshell concert series is back for 2022 with three dedicated evenings of live music and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

The free community concerts held at Centennial Park will see headlining acts from PINKed, Eskimo Joe and Death by Denim, with support acts for each concert yet to be announced.

Hitting the stage for our Australia Day concert, on Wednesday 26 January 2022, is tribute performer PINked who will be rocking out to all your favourite hits from P!NK and Lady Gaga. Performer Sabrina Davies is known for her enthusiasm, powerhouse vocals and uncanny resemblance to musician P!NK, often leaving fans believing they have just experienced an intimate evening with the real star.

The most anticipated headliner of the concert series is internationally renowned, West Australian band Eskimo Joe, who will be performing on Saturday 12 February 2022. While successfully straddling the line between commercial success and managing to keep their alternative music roots, Eskimo Joe has racked up a long list of impressive accomplishments.

With 6 studio albums under their belts, half of which have debuted at number 1 on the ARIA charts, Eskimo Joe is set to bring the stage alight at Centennial Park for an epic night for the whole community.

Rounding out the tri-concert series is Freo-born indie formation Death by Denim. Closing the series out on Saturday 26 February 2022, Death by Denim are renowned for their honey vocals, dreamy synth and vibrant guitar riffs.

All three concerts start at 6:00pm and guests are encouraged to bring down picnic blankets, enjoy BYO beverages (no glass) and enjoy the local food vans at each event.

Acting CEO David Trevaskis said hosting three talented West-Aussie acts is a great opportunity for Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

“As one of our most anticipated events of the year, the upcoming concert series promises to bring the community together once again to sing, dance and enjoy each other’s company,” he said.

“There is something for everyone this year and I encourage everyone to add the dates to their diaries for a stunning start to 2022.”

Updates and support act announcements will be published on the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Facebook page and website: www.ckb.wa.gov.au/Sunset-at-the-Soundshell
