The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder will launch a public survey today seeking commentary from residents on potential future destinations and routes from Kalgoorlie-Boulder Airport.

With an increasing number of passengers passing through the terminal each month, the City is undertaking a review of the airport’s existing network in order to identify potential expansion opportunities.

Acting CEO Alex Weise stated that the completed surveys would provide guidance into the possible establishment of additional routes from Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

“With passenger numbers returning to pre-COVID conditions, the City is seeking additional opportunities to expand network capacity and provide alternative leisure options to residents.

“We are also in regular discussions with airline partners and tourism stakeholders regarding the return of the Melbourne and Kalgoorlie-Boulder flight upon the domestic network stabilisation post-COVID,” Mr Weise Said.

City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder residents who complete the survey can also go into the draw to win a 15-minute scenic flight for three people, valued at $450.

The community is encouraged to complete the survey, which will be available on the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Website, and social media channels up to the 2nd of November.
