Santa Claus will once again make a special visit to Kalgoorlie-Boulder as part of this year’s annual Christmas Street Party on Sunday, 27 November 2022.

One of the City’s most popular events, the Christmas Street Party will feature the lighting of the Christmas tree in Boulder’s Loopline Park followed by a spectacular fireworks display.

Attendees can expect hours of non-stop entertainment on the main stage including performances by local musicians and dance troupes, arts and craft workshops, an amazing food zone, a range of community Christmas stalls, and much more.

Mayor John Bowler said that the City’s Christmas celebrations provide an opportunity for all residents to come together to mark the start of the festive season in the city.

“This is one of my favourite events on the City’s events calendar because you can feel the sense of excitement and anticipation for, what is for many, the happiest time of the year.”

“The community descends on the main street of historic Boulder to take part in the array of family-friendly activities and await Santa’s arrival to join me in lighting our beautiful giant Christmas Tree.”

“The event also marks the start of a busy retail training period in the city, and I encourage residents to support our local businesses who do so much for our community all year round,” Mayor Boulder said.

Activities and entertainment will kick off from 3 pm to 8 pm, with the lighting of the Christmas tree scheduled for 7:30 pm.

Burt and Hamilton streets will be closed to traffic and parked vehicles from 10 am to 10 pm on the event day. Parking is available at Digger Daws Oval, with a shuttle bus taking patrons up to the event at regular intervals between 3 pm and 8 pm.
