The City is excited to welcome Death by Denim to Kalgoorlie-Boulder for the third and final concert in the Sunset at the Soundshell Series, bringing their ultra-cool Indie Rock sound to Centennial Park on Saturday evening 26 February.

Gates open to public at 4:30pm for a 6pm start.

The band of best mates hit the music scene in 2016, later making their break with single ‘Wiggy’ in 2019 earning them the third spot on the alternative radio station Triple J most played charts and a global management deal.

They have since been on heavy rotation on Triple J, signing with Paradigm Talent Agency in 2020 and selling out their national tour ‘Sleepless and Sunkissed’ in 2021. Expect vibrant guitar riffs and honey vocals from this young group of musicians.

On behalf of the band, Palle Mazzula said they are so excited to play in Kalgoorlie-Boulder for the first time.

“We love heading to regional WA and playing to people who may not have seen us before. Meeting the locals is always the best time," said Palle.

Much loved local band K7 will take to the stage to perform a set of their cover songs to warm up the crowd ahead of the main act.

City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mayor John Bowler said he expects to see everyone in Kalgoorlie-Boulder support the community by coming down to Centennial Park on Saturday night.

“This is the last chance to enjoy the concert series, listen to live music and enjoy the local food trucks while the sun sets behind the Sound Shell. It is not a night to be missed!” said Mayor Bowler.

Attendees are invited to bring along beverages (no glass) and their own picnics or enjoy some of the great food provided by the local food trucks on the night.

The City would like to remind concert attendees of the following State Government COVID-19 mandate restrictions that will be in place for the second concert in the series:

  • Patrons are required to “check in” using the ServiceWA app and provide proof of vaccination within the app;
  • For those patrons not using the ServiceWA app, they can present a paper copy or “wallet” copy alongside a piece of photo ID;
  • Patrons are encouraged to bring a mask to the event if they are unable to physically distance

The event venue (Centennial Park) will be completely fenced and patrons can enter through either of the 2 admission gates from 4:30pm onwards.

The City would also like to remind attendees that the event is smoke and vape free. To smoke or vape attendees must leave the premises (fenced area).

Keep an eye out on the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder | Facebook page for the VIP Competition details and do not forget to enter for your chance to win front row seating and a picnic compliments of the City!
