Special Meeting of Electors Will Be Held to Address Community Concerns Over Vaccination Mandate

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder will hold a special meeting of electors at the Kalgoorlie Town Hall on Monday, 28 February at 6:30pm at the request of the 100 signatories of the petition against the State Government vaccination mandate.

The request for a special meeting of electors proposes that Council:

  • Hear and discuss the concerns of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder community in respect to the detrimental economic, business, Occupational Safety and Health, public liability and lifestyle impacts of the vaccination mandate specifically on members of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder community
  • Provide public assurance to the community that the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder accepts the financial and public liability risks of adopting the vaccination mandates imposed by the WA State Government on the Kalgoorlie-Boulder residents, rate payers and business owners
  • Vote to oppose vaccination mandates and support Pro Choice for Kalgoorlie-Boulder community, and that this vote be taken at a Special Meeting of Electors
  • Advise the Premier of Western Australia and State Parliament about the concerns of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder community and request them to refrain from imposing further mandates and revoke any mandates in place now
