The Goldfields Oasis is Getting Ready for a Transformation

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is commencing a Master Planning process to re-develop the Goldfields Oasis Recreation Centre.  As part of this planning, feedback is being sought from the community to inform the types of facilities and services that could be provided at a redeveloped Oasis

The Goldfields Oasis Refurbishment Project aims to transform our local recreation centre into a vibrant, diverse, accessible and modern community hub with something for everyone to enjoy.

Since opening on 10 April 1999, the Oasis has grown to be multi-award-winning facility and the only multi-purpose facility in the area offering a health club, group fitness, courts, swim school, pools and creche.

The facility welcomes 3,000 members weekly through the door between the gym, swim school and the pool; equating to a collective 5,000 and 10,000 visits each week depending on the season.

To gather information on how the Goldfields Oasis can best serve our community into the future, a survey has been launched on CKB Unearthed and will remain open for two (2) weeks.

We want to know what a renewed recreation centre should look and feel like. Tell us how you currently use the facility and what’s missing for you. What recreation facilities or services would you love to see offered in Kalgoorlie-Boulder?

We encourage all members of each household to complete the survey!

Head to www.ckbunearthed.com.au/oasis to take the survey and enter the draw to win a $200 voucher, inflatable party for ten, a 1 month gold membership or one of four family swim passes at completion of the survey.
