Purchasing & Procurement Policy

The Procurement Action Plan has been implemented by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The plan follows the completion of the Procurement Audit conducted by the Office of Auditor General, which is in compliance with the legislative requirements and with the objective of improving the City’s internal procurement processes.

Purchasing

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder has set terms and conditions for the payment of creditors. These terms vary depending on whether the creditor is a small business or a large business.

Defining Small Businesses

A small business is defined as a business employing less than 20 people. Categories of small businesses include:

  • non-employing businesses - sole proprietorships and partnerships without employees;
  • micro businesses - businesses employing less than 5 people, including non-employing businesses;
  • other small businesses - businesses employing 5 or more people, but less than 20 people.
