Sustainability on a budget - Living Lightly Workshop

In this workshop Peg will demonstrate how to reduce your environmental impact through simple changes. Being sustainable doesn’t have to look like a perfectly curated Instagram feed with matching glass canisters and fancy keep cups.

How can I make changes that help the planet without spending lots of money? Come and see how easy it is to do things differently, plus save lots of money. You will produce a few easy products to take home and try out.

Hear Peg's top tips on how to use what you have on hand or nearby to create a low-waste life worth living!

Worms, compost and how to build an instant garden

In this workshop Peg will be teaching us the basics of worm farming, creating a compost pile and how to build an instant garden bed from scratch!

Creating a food garden at home is a simple and effective way to reduce your impact on the environment. Growing your own food is good for your mental and physical health, and great for the planet - it can also save you money!

We'll learn some practical tips and tricks about how to create an instant garden bed. Peg will use materials usually disposed of in the bin - it's gardening on the cheap! She will also discuss which vegetables should be used to enjoy delicious homegrown produce at this time of year, plus how to feed your garden using compost and worm farming for thriving fruit and vegetables.

Bonus!

By attending this workshop you will be eligible for the City's $50 worm farm or compost bin rebate. Click here for more information.
