Terms and Conditions of Entry - KB Collective October Scan & Win Competition

The promoter of the Go Local First Kalgoorlie-Boulder Promotion is the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, 577 Hannan Street Kalgoorlie WA 6430

  1. This competition is a promotion run by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder (“Promoter”).
  2. Entries, information on prizes & how to enter form part of these Terms & Conditions.
  3. Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
  4. To enter the competition, the entrant must;
    1. Be a current resident of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder (excluding Elected Members and staff – refer to clause 5).
    2. Not be considered an “excluded entity” as described in clause 6.
  5. City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Elected Members and staff are ineligible to enter the competition.
    1. An Excluded Entity is not eligible for inclusion in the Competition. Excluded Entities are:
    2. State and/or Federal Government Agencies;
    3. Corporations; and
  6. Entry into the competition must be completed before the closing dates mentioned to go into the draws. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.

  4. 4 winners will be randomly selected via a computer program, under the supervision of representatives from the City. The promoter’s decision is final & no correspondence will be entered into.

Terms and Conditions - Registration eRates Prize Draw 2023/24

  1. For the purposes of these terms and conditions reference to a rate notice also includes reference to any rate instalment notices.
  2. You agree to receive your rate notice by email and understand that a paper document will not be sent.
  3. You confirm you are the registered owner of the property address shown below.
  4. All future rate notices will be in the form of a PDF attachment to an email sent to the email address nominated by you.
  5. If you own more than one property, you will need to register separately for each property. Separate email notifications will be issued matching the number of registrations received.
  6. You must advise any other person to whom paper rate notices are currently being sent that they will no longer receive paper rate notices as a result of your request. Council will not provide this notification.
  7. You must regularly check your nominated email address for rate notices.
  8. You agree that rate notices are deemed served when it reaches your internet service provider, whether or not you have opened or read the email.
  9. An “out of office” notification will not be considered an undeliverable rate notice.
  10. You agree that you will retain the rate notice information yourself electronically or by printing it.
  11. If you change your email address or mobile number, you are required to notify Council. Click Contact us to amend your details.
  12. Should Council receive an electronic “delivery failure” notification from your email address, your request for email delivery will be cancelled and a paper document will be posted to the last advised postal address.
  13. You can withdraw your request for email delivery of your rate notice at any time. Click Unsubscribe.

Terms and Conditions - eRates Competition 2023/24

  1. This competition is a promotion run by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder (“Promoter”), ABN 63 711 737 609.
  2. Entries and information on prizes and how to enter form part of these Terms and Conditions.
  3. Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  4. To enter the competition, the entrant must;
    • Be a current individual ratepayer of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder (Elected Members and staff are excluded-  refer to clause 5).
    • Not be considered an “excluded entity” as described in clause 6.
  5. City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Elected Members and staff are ineligible to enter the competition. 
  6. An Excluded Entity is not eligible for inclusion in the Competition. Excluded Entities are:
    • State and/or Federal Government Agencies;
    • Corporations; and
    • Property owners of non-rateable land as per Section 6.26(2) of the Local Government Act 1995.
  7. The draw will take place at 12.00pm WST on the 11 October 2023, at City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Administration Building, 577 Hannan Street Kalgoorlie WA 6430.
  8. One entry will be awarded per registered Assessment Number. One Assessment Number will be drawn at random and its owner as shown on the Annual Rates & Charges Notice will be deemed the winner. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. The cash prize value is a $500 and will be rewarded in the form of a VISA Credit Card.

  3. Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
  4. To enter the competition, the entrant must;
    • Be a current individual ratepayer of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder (excluding Elected Members and staff - refer to clause 5).
    • Pay their 2023/24 rates in full by the due dates displayed on their annual rates billing notice:
      • 1st prize is $7,000 Cash - Payment due by 10.00pm WST, 15 September 2023
      • 2nd prize is $2,000 Cash - Payment due by 10.00pm WST, 22 September 2023
      • 3rd prize is $1,000 Cash - Payment due by 10.00pm WST, 29 September 2023 and
    • Not be considered an “excluded entity” as described in clause 6.
  5. City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Elected Members and staff are ineligible to enter the competition.
  6. An Excluded Entity is not eligible for inclusion in the Competition. Excluded Entities are:
    • State and/or Federal Government Agencies;
    • Corporations; and
    • Property owners of non-rateable land as per Section 6.26(2) of the Local Government Act 1995.
  7. Payment must be received before the closing dates mentioned to go into the draws. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected payments.
  8. The competition commences 1 July 2023 and closes 10.00pm WST, 29 September 2023.
  9. The competition will be drawn at 10.00am (WST) on 11 October 2023, at the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Administration Building, 577 Hannan Street, Kalgoorlie.
  10. Three winners will be randomly selected via a computer program, under the supervision of representatives from the City & the National Australia Bank. The promoter’s decision is final & no correspondence will be entered into.
  11. The winners will be notified by phone, email & registered mail of their prize win.
  12. The 1st prize winner will be invited to attend a Rates Prize Draw photo session at a date to be advised.
  13. The prize winners will receive their cash payment via an EFT transaction into their nominated bank account.
  14. Competition results will be published in the Kalgoorlie Miner Newspaper on Saturday, 21 October 2023.
