Are you ready to make waves in the world of Water Services? We are currently seeking a dedicated Water Engineer to join our team and make a significant impact in wastewater treatment and recycled water. As the Coordinator of Water Services, you will play a key role in leading innovative water treatment and recycled water projects at the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in Western Australia..

If you have a passion for environmental sustainability, we invite you to inspire and manage our team responsible for overseeing the sewer reticulation network, wastewater treatment plant, and recycled water network.

Your responsibilities will involve:

  • Leading, planning, and managing a small team within your authorised scope in the daily and future operations of the Water Services department.
  • Overseeing the maintenance, renewal, and upgrade of assets within the water business unit, including the Wastewater Network, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Recycled Water Network, and SCADA. Ensuring compliance with Regulatory Licensing, Compliance, and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.

About you:

  • Passionate about the environment and sustainability.
  • Strong administrative, planning, organisational, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work independently with a proactive and innovative approach to process enhancement.
  • Education in engineering (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical) or related field preferred. Alternatively, certification in Waste Water Treatment Operations at a Certificate 4 level or equivalent.
  • Experience in overseeing processing facilities and/or managing operational teams of comparable or larger scale is highly desirable.

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary ranges between $130,286 to $140,840
