Age-Friendly Strategy 2022-2026

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder's Aged Friendly Strategy builds on significant consultation undertaken with our senior residents, service providers and the City's Seniors Focus Group. It provides actions and outcomes to ensure the city is a place where older adults feel valued for the contribution they make to our community.

Our vision is to ensure seniors in our community can live an engaged, healthy and connected life now and in the future.

2023 Seniors Expo

The Living Life Well - Seniors Expo was a great success with many seniors attending to receive valuable information about support services and meeting providers. We heard from fantastic key speakers, enjoyed a delicious BBQ and workshops at the CY O'Connor Men's Shed, and sat back to the beautiful music of the Salt Lake Shanty Men.

This event is an important outcome as part of our Aged Friendly Strategy and helps to ensure our senior community has what they need to thrive in an environment that respects their independence and provides them with the support they need.
