The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is pleased to be the local hub for Keep Australia Beautiful WA’s Adopt-a-Spot Program.
Do you have a favourite spot in your area and feel disheartened seeing it riddled with litter?
The Keep Australia Beautiful WA's Adopt-a-Spot Program provides you with the necessary resources to keep your spot litter free.
It could be the street you live on, a favourite park or local bushland, whatever space, big or small, you are contributing to a cleaner environment!
Not only will you be helping to Keep Australia Beautiful, but you will be protecting the local Goldfields flora and fauna, who are often adversely affected by littering.
Who can register?
Anyone can take part in the program. Individuals, community groups, businesses or schools can Adopt-a-Spot and help keep our region clean.
What support do I receive?
Once you have registered your location you will receive:
- Free Clean-Up Kit
- Adoption Certificate
- Insurance cover where needed
How can I get involved?
- Head to Keep Australia Beautiful WA’s website and register your location.
- Choose a date for your clean ups. This could be a one-off event or regular scheduled clean-up days. Then invite your family, friends and workmates to get involved.
- You will receive a registration email, and the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s Waste & Sustainability team will be alerted that you have registered to Adopt-a-Spot.
- Collect your free Clean-Up Kit from the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Administration Office, which includes gloves, bags and other equipment to help with your clean up.
- Get out there and Keep Australia Beautiful.
