The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is an amazing place to grow up. Young people are encouraged to keep active at the local skatepark or the Goldfields Oasis Recreation Centre. With hundreds of local sporting groups, you can join a team, get involved, make some friends, and have fun!

There are countless community organisations to get involved in to connect with other locals and be part of building a better City. The Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Council (KBYC) is made up of young people aged 12 – 25 years with a passion for making Kalgoorlie-Boulder a great place for young people to live. For our older community members, the Eastern Goldfields Community Centre offers a great range of events and activities for residents aged 65+ to stay active and have fun, including craft, exercise classes, indoor bowling, morning and afternoon teas, and so much more.

Be a part of your local community, as you watch with pride when you attend the school assembly to see your child win an award. The number and range of schools offer a convenient location, so you can be home 10 mins after an easy after-school pick up. Stop by one of the 60+ parks or sporting grounds on your way home and enjoy some fun and memorable family time.
