The band has mastered the art of genre-surfing, coasting between alt-rock, pop, hip-hop and other influences. Successfully achieving commercial success while upholding their authenticity, The Rubens have racked up a long list of impressive accomplishments. They’re set to bring the stage alight at Centennial Park for an epic night for the whole community.

#3 - 25 February 2023 - ILLY and Coterie

 ILLY:

The second act for the evening is Australian hip-hop royalty ILLY. Emerging onto the hip-hop scene in 2009, he has since released five studio albums, winning multiple APRA Awards and ARIA Music Awards including Best Australian Live Act. He has performed at Australian music festivals including headline spots at Groovin the Moo and Splendour in the Grass. ILLY is hailed as one of the country’s best live performers of the last decade, becoming an integral part of the musical fabric of Australia through his unmatched lyrical bravado and authentic delivery.

ILLY is the first Australian artist to secure the #1 ARIA Album position in 2021. The Space Between marks his second ARIA Album #1 in his career, with his fifth LP Two Degrees also securing the top spot in 2016.

Coterie:

The tunes from Perth-based 5-piece band Coterie are an explosion of sunshine with their groove-infused rhythms, elements of reggae, indie-pop and surf rock. The band is set to bring their feel-good summer party anthems, bold stage presence and melodically rich vocals to town.

Their first hit single ‘Cool it down’ spent three weeks in the #1 position on the Official New Zealand Hot singles charts. They have amassed more than five million streams, 250,000 You Tube views, and an army of dedicated fans behind them.
