The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is excited to welcome 6-piece tribute band, Pinked, as the headline act for the first concert in the 2022 Sunset at the Soundshell Concert Series. Hosted on Australia Day (26 January) at Centennial Park, the concert will commence at 6pm with local food trucks as well as a dedicated Kids Zone entertainment area.

Fronted by Sabrina Davies, Pinked is Perth’s answer to international superstar, P!nk. Sabrina’s uncanny resemblance and powerhouse vocals will leave concertgoers second-guessing if they just attended one of P!nk’s sell-out shows.

Pinked’s live show will include some of P!nk’s greatest hits from her ‘I’m Not Dead Tour’ as well as more recent tracks from the ‘Truth About Love Tour’.

The band’s guitarist Matt Milford said, “The individual members have all been to Kalgoorlie before with our various other projects and acts, however this will be the first time we are bringing the Pinked show to Kalgoorlie so we are really looking forward to this one!”

The City’s Sunset at the Soundshell Concert Series is one of the most popular events in the calendar year. Attracting over 6000 attendees in previous years, the 2022 series is expected to be no different. The Australia Day event will be the first of three free concerts as part of the series, each held at the Rotary Soundshell in Centennial Park.

This year, the Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place before the concert at 6:15PM with Mayor John Bowler announcing the inspiring inductees for 2022.

Followed by acoustic duo Crazy Little Strings and aerial performer Katelyn Ann who will be performing before Pinked to showcase some homegrown talent and warm up the crowd.

City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mayor, John Bowler said he was looking forward to this year’s event.

“Our Sunset at the Soundshell concert series offers a free, family friendly experience for all of our community members. The event has been running for over a decade and is a wonderful opportunity to bring our community together through music,” said Mayor Bowler.
