The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder proudly announces the launch of its 2024 Investment Prospectus at the 23rd Annual What’s Down the Track Forum, hosted by the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Prospectus showcases the Goldfields region as a prime investment hub with diverse economic potential while highlighting the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s captivating features as the ultimate destination to work, live and invest.

Being the region’s driving force, the mining sector is at the forefront of the outline – half of all jobs in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Economic Zone (KBEZ) come from mining. The KBEZ, made up of the City and surrounding Shires – Menzies, Coolgardie, Dundas, Leonora, Laverton and Ngaanyatjarraku – has an economic output of $27.6 billion, representing 80% of the Goldfields-Esperance economy.

Fostering 163 operating mines across the region, the KBEZ is a leading contributor of 19 different commodities, including major gold, nickel, and lithium deposits.

The KBEZ prevails as a coveted powerhouse, with $16.5 billion in the project pipeline, including $1.5 billion towards the Super Pit expansion, and BHP Nickel West’s $1.7 billion Copper and Nickel Project.

City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder CEO, Andrew Brien said the 2024 Investment Prospectus’ goal was to increase private and state investment in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Economic Zone.

“The 2024 Investment Prospectus serves a dual purpose: it not only seeks to attract and facilitate investments from local, regional, national, and international investors but also serves as a platform for presenting investment opportunities to potential investors.”

“We aim to underline the Goldfields region as an investor’s playground while showcasing the City’s liveability and vibrancy.”

"We're attracting influential figures in the innovation sector, and we're excited to witness the positive outcomes resulting from our Strategic Community Plan," he said.

"Our aim is to make the process as streamlined as possible for prospective investors by offering a concierge service of opportunity to assist them in navigating the regulatory landscape. “

"The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s future looks promising, with numerous exciting projects already underway.”

The City will be attending the upcoming Critical Minerals Conference in Perth next week, to further launch the 2024 Investment Prospectus.
