The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is seeking community feedback as part of the 2023 Community and Business Perception Surveys.
Conducted by independent research company Catalyse, the two separate surveys will provide the City with insights into levels of community satisfaction across various key areas, such as services and facilities, as well as general overall performance.
Mayor John Bowler said the City was excited to re-establish the perception surveys, following the decision to hold the surveys during the peak period of COVID-19.
“Now that we have mostly adjusted to living post the pandemic and services have resumed almost or close to normal, it’s important for the City to check back in with residents and the local business community to see how we are doing with our provision of services.”
“The last survey was conducted in 2018, and a lot has happened in Kalgoorlie-Boulder and at the City since that time. We would like to understand what our community thinks we are doing well and what we can improve on.”
“The information received is used by Council and City Officers to make informed decisions when planning resources to meet current and future needs. It also underpins the key focus areas of the City’s Strategic Community Plan.”
“It’s so important for all residents, ratepayers and businesses of Kalgoorlie-Boulder to have a say and put forward their ideas, so together we can ensure the City remains a great place to live, work and play well into the future.”
All households in Kalgoorlie-Boulder will receive a hard copy of the community scorecard in the mail from 1 May. Residents aged 14 years and older are encouraged to complete the survey, with one accepted per person. Responses are kept private and confidential.
