The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s premiere children’s event, KidsFest, returns this year with children favourites the PJ Masks set to entertain the crowds during the two-day event.
The action-packed free event, now in its eighth year running, promises to be bigger and better with a range of interactive activities to explore with a focus on science, art, music, sport, and sustainability.
Back at its original location at the Oasis Playing Fields, the bi-annual event is expected to attract more than 10,000 children and families from Kalgoorlie-Boulder, the Goldfields, and beyond.
Catboy, Owlette, Gekko, and their allies will take the stage several times over the weekend, and there will be plenty of photo opportunities and meet and greets with their little fans.
They will be joined by other entertainers, including Amy’s Wild Adventures, who will have snakes, bobtails, and other creepy creatures to meet; the Sun Runners, an imaginative intergalactic show; obstacle courses; Sailor Sally, the master bubbleologist; monkey bikes; cheese cricket, hook a duck and more.
KidsFest favourites will also return, including Angie the Fairy, X5 Academy’s Parkour, Party on the Green’s Mini Golf and a go-karts track by OzKidzKarts.
Mayor Wilson said the City was proud to once bring this well-loved event to children and families of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
“KidsFest is one of, if not the most popular event the City runs, and every year our team works hard to make it a highlight for kids and their parents,” he said.
“Our focus for events is to create new and engaging experiences for children, which they may usually be able to access in the metropolitan area.”
“From children’s favourite farm animals, acrobatic stage performances, and even a live sand sculptor, there will be so much to do throughout the two days and I’m looking forward to making memories with my family.”
“I’m sure parents can relate to hearing the PJ Masks’ music in their lounge rooms every day, and I know many will be absolutely thrilled with the opportunity to meet them right here in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.”

KidsFest 2024 will take place on 13 & 14 April from 9am to 3pm at the Oasis Playing Fields. The event is free to attend for all ages.
