The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is calling for nominations for the 2025 City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Awards, celebrating the exceptional achievements and contributions of young individuals and youth-focused organisations within our community.

Held each year, the Youth Awards shine a spotlight on the talent, passion, and community spirit demonstrated by our city's youth aged 12 to 25 across six award categories including:

  • Young Achiever Award
  • Young Tradesperson or Apprentice of the Year
  • Young Community Champion
  • Young Cultural Leader
  • Youth Worker or Volunteer of the Year
  • Youth Organisation of the Year

Each award recipient will receive a $500 cash prize, with all nominees to be recognised at the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Awards evening in May 2025.

Mayor Glenn Wilson encouraged community members to get behind the Awards and nominate a deserving young person or group.

“Every year, I’m excited to hear the real-life stories of young people doing great things in our community – from volunteering their time to leading cultural initiatives to excelling in their trades and studies,” said Mayor Wilson.

“These awards are our chance to acknowledge that hard work and say thank you. It’s also about showing our youth that their efforts matter – and that their City and community sees and values what they’re doing.”

“If you know someone who’s making a difference, big or small, now’s the time to put their name forward.”

The 2025 Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Awards will be held on Saturday, 17 May 2025 from 5pm - 8:30pm, with all nominees and their families invited to attend the celebration.
