The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is proud to host a special Story Time in the Park event for families next week – a much anticipated Teddy Bear Picnic.
Designed for families with children aged 18 months to 5 years, this free event on Tuesday 20 June at CY O’Connor Park promises to be filled with excitement and enchantment.
Children and parents alike will be immersed in a world of imagination, togetherness, and play. There are engaging activities and delightful surprises planned, curated to ensure a memorable time for everyone in attendance.
Some of the highlights include a Story Time in the Park session where children will listen to captivating tales that will transport them to a world of wonder and adventure, cookie decorating, bean bag toss, and a variety of interactive games to entertain and engage children of all ages.
City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder CEO Andrew Brien said the CY O’Connor Community Precinct on Roberts Street is a wonderful area for the community to come together for these types of events.
“We are always looking for events, activities and programs that provide entertainment and community connections, and this will be a wonderful event for young families.”
“In addition to a special story time session, teddy bear picnic, we will also have a range of crafting and coloring projects to inspire imaginative thinking and artistic expression.”
“Parents will also be able to take a break and enjoy a refreshing morning tea whilst there.”
The Teddy Bears Picnic will be held on Tuesday June 20 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at the CY O'Connor Park on Roberts Street. This free event is open to all families.
