Volunteer Registration

The City is seeking volunteers to participate in an upcoming emergency exercise at the airport on Sunday 1 November from 8.30am to 12pm.

Volunteers will assist in a range of roles, including participation at the simulated incident site and within the terminal. The exercise will help emergency services and airport personnel test their response procedures in a realistic environment.

Important Volunteer Information

  • Volunteers must be 16 years or older and will be required to present valid photo identification on the day.
  • Enclosed footwear and appropriate clothing must be worn. 
  • Moulage will be used during the exercise to simulate realistic injuries, including cuts, abrasions, broken bones and simulated blood. Volunteers can choose whether they are comfortable having moulage applied. If you choose to participate in moulage, you should wear clothing and footwear that you don’t mind potentially being stained or damaged.
  • As the exercise will be in both an airside and landside environment, dangerous goods, firearms and prohibited items are not permitted, animals cannot be brought to the exercise.
  • Water will be available throughout the exercise, with refreshments provided afterwards
