Burlesque Dance Workshop

The Burlesque Dance Workshop, hosted by Sugar Blue Burlesque, is an exciting and empowering experience forming part of KALeidoscope 2026!
Burlesque is the hottest trend in town, bringing together a sizzling dance style with elaborate vintage costumes, cool retro tunes and plenty of sassy fun! Learn the fundamentals of burlesque dance in a fun, supportive and inclusive environment. The workshop will explore classic burlesque movements, confidence, performance and self-expression. Participants will shimmy, shake, undulate, bump, grind, wiggle, jiggle, twirl and swirl their way through classic burlesque moves, while learning how to strut and exude confidence.
No previous dance or burlesque experience is required, making the workshop suitable for beginners.

Open to people of all genders over the age of 18 years, no experience needed.
This workshop is free to attend, but spaces are limited.

- Comfortable clothing suitable for dancing and movement.
- A bottle of water to stay hydrated.
- A towel if needed.
- Comfortable shoes that are suitable for dancing. Stilettos are not permitted.
