Harmony Day

Past Event

Celebrate the diverse culture of Kalgoorlie-Boulder!

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is partnering up with local community groups and service providers to host a Harmony Day celebration.

Australia is one of the most multi-cultural countries in the world, and our small pocket of the island is no different with over 50 nationalities living within our City.

Starting in 1999, Harmony Week is celebrated from 15 March - 21 March every year and recognises all people living in Australia, no matter where they came from.

This year, we're celebrating Harmony Day on Thursday March 21 at St Barbara's Square.

The square will host an array of local community groups and services, providing educational information, and welcoming conversation around their culture, traditions, and stories from back home.

Attendees are encouraged to wear orange in support of Harmony Day or traditional attire of their culture.

Join us in celebrating that no matter where you come from, we're united by the Australian values of freedom, respect, fairness, democracy and equal opportunity.
